About the role
The ward cares for adults recovering from surgery and managing acute illness. New starters follow a structured induction with a named mentor, and the ward manager is known for investing in her team.
Shifts are a mix of long days and nights on a rolling rota, with weekend working shared fairly.
What you will do
- Assess patients, plan care and deliver it in line with clinical guidelines
- Administer medication and record observations accurately
- Work with doctors, therapists and discharge teams to plan safe discharges
- Support patients and families with clear information and reassurance
What you bring
- Current NMC registration as a registered nurse (adult)
- At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in an acute or ward setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Right to work in the UK
