About the role
The platform team is moving from hand-managed environments to fully automated infrastructure and needs an experienced engineer to lead the next phase. You will work with six engineers who are keen to learn and willing to change how they work.
This is a six-month contract with a strong chance of extension. The role is hybrid, with two days a week in downtown Toronto.
What you will do
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for several product teams
- Define infrastructure as code with Terraform and manage Kubernetes clusters
- Improve observability, alerting and incident response
- Document standards and coach developers on deployment practices
What you bring
- 5 or more years in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering
- Strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes and a major cloud provider
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar tools
- Solid scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Authorized to work in Canada
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated financial environments
- Security hardening experience
