About the role
Our client's product team is growing, and they need an engineer who is comfortable owning features from the first design conversation through production. You will work in a small squad alongside a product manager and a designer, with real input on what gets built and how.
The stack is TypeScript, React and Node with PostgreSQL on a major cloud provider. The team deploys several times a week and values readable code, good tests and honest code reviews over heroics.
What you will do
- Design, build and maintain features across the React front end and Node services
- Write automated tests and take part in thoughtful code review
- Investigate production issues and follow through with durable fixes
- Work with product and design to shape scope before building
- Improve performance and reliability of core booking and billing flows
What you bring
- 3 or more years of professional experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with React and a Node.js back end
- Working knowledge of SQL databases and REST API design
- Comfortable with Git workflows, CI pipelines and code review
- Authorized to work in the United States
Nice to have
- Experience with payment or scheduling systems
- Familiarity with AWS or GCP
- Prior work in a small product team
